Instamojo Alternative in India for Shops

By Indi Andaz

Look for an Instamojo alternative when payment links stop being enough. Instamojo is known for payment links. A shop that sells stock from shelves needs more: a catalogue the buyer can browse, the address taken at checkout, a courier booked from the order, and a GST bill for walk-ins. If that list is your day, compare stores, not just link tools.

Example, not a real shop: a Jaipur handloom shop sends a payment link for every WhatsApp order, then types the address into a courier app and writes a separate counter bill. Three steps per order, by hand.

That’s usually when a shop owner starts searching. Here’s a fair view of what Instamojo does well, what it costs, and when something else suits you better.

What does Instamojo offer?

Instamojo’s pricing page covers three products:

  • Online Store, with a shopping cart, unlimited products, cash on delivery, shipping integrations and order management.
  • Smart Pages, landing screens for services, event tickets, donations and more.
  • Payment Links, for collecting money without a full store.

Its FAQ names Shiprocket, Shipway, Pickrr and Vamaship among its shipping partners. The page also says the payment gateway comes integrated with the store, with “no additional charges or plugins required”. You don’t need coding to build a store, and there’s a Do-It-For-Me option where their team sets it up, at a price on request.

Instamojo pricing: how much does it take per order?

These figures are from Instamojo’s pricing page, as of 6 Oct 2026, before GST. The page says GST is charged in addition to the prices shown.

Instamojo productFee on each successful transaction
Online Store, Lite5% + ₹3
Online Store, Starter5% + ₹3
Online Store, Growth2% + ₹3
Payment Links, Quick2% + ₹3

Digital products on the store carry a higher fee: 10% + ₹3 on Lite and Starter, and 5% + ₹3 on Growth.

Lite shows ₹0 a year. Starter and Growth also have a yearly price, but when we checked, the page showed two sets of yearly figures, so we haven’t quoted them. Confirm the amount at checkout. Instamojo’s FAQ says there’s no trial for its premium store plans, but there is a 14-day money-back guarantee. Linking your own domain needs one of those premium plans.

One more thing to clear up with Instamojo before you decide. The page describes the fee as charged on each successful transaction. If you offer cash on delivery, ask how that works for COD orders, returns and refused parcels.

When is Instamojo the better choice?

Instamojo is likely the better fit if:

  • You sell digital products such as ebooks, courses or downloads. Its store has a separate digital product fee and OTP verification against people sharing your files. Indi Andaz is for sellers of their own physical goods.
  • You mainly need payment links, for example to collect advances without listing anything.
  • You sell services or events. Smart Pages are meant for services, event tickets and donations.
  • You don’t have a counter and don’t need GST bills for walk-in customers.

I sell from Instagram but I have no proper system. What should I look for?

A lot of shop owners start exactly here. Posts on Instagram, orders in DMs and WhatsApp, payment through a link, and the counter running on a bill book. Once you hold real stock and bill walk-ins daily, you need more than a way to collect money:

  1. GST bills at the counter. Walk-in customers still need a proper bill, and it helps when that sits with your web orders rather than in a separate notebook.
  2. A checkout that takes the payment. UPI, card or cash on delivery chosen by the customer, so you aren’t matching screenshots to chats.
  3. Parcel pickup without phone calls. Booking a courier for each parcel by hand eats the evening.
  4. Paying only when the parcel arrives. Parcels get returned or refused. A fee only on orders that reach the customer is easier to live with.
  5. One address for everything. Something you can put in your Instagram bio and WhatsApp status once, instead of creating a fresh payment request per order.

If your shop lives on Instagram, here is how to sell on Instagram without a website.

Other options for stocked items include Dukaan, which is aimed at online-first stores, and Shopify, which has the largest app and theme library. We cover both in our Dukaan alternatives write-up and our Shopify alternatives write-up. When buyers send payment screenshots, learn how to identify a fake UPI payment before you pack.

How does Indi Andaz work for a shop with physical products?

Indi Andaz is for Indian shops that hold their own stock and often bill walk-ins at a counter too. You get:

  • A shareable branded shop link, ready for your Instagram bio, WhatsApp chats and status.
  • UPI, card and cash-on-delivery checkout, so the customer picks how to pay.
  • Shipping through Delhivery for orders within India.
  • GST billing at the counter with the Indi Andaz Counter app, where you can scan barcodes and take cash, UPI, card, udhar or split payments at the till.

Pricing: No monthly fee, 5% only on delivered online orders, payment processing included. GST applies on the fee. On a ₹1,000 product that is delivered, the fee is ₹50 plus GST on that fee. That stays the same after the UPI fee starts, so there’s no extra UPI charge to sellers.

Here’s the same ₹1,000 order on both platforms. Instamojo’s page says GST is added on top of its fees, and GST applies on the Indi Andaz fee too, so the table shows both sides on the same basis.

On a ₹1,000 orderBefore GSTWith GST
Instamojo Lite: 5% + ₹3 per successful transaction₹53about ₹62.54
Instamojo Growth: 2% + ₹3 per successful transaction₹23, plus Growth’s yearly plan feeabout ₹27.14, plus the yearly plan fee
Indi Andaz: 5%, only if the parcel reaches the customer₹50₹59

Growth is a paid plan with a yearly fee shown on Instamojo’s pricing page. When we checked on 6 Oct 2026, Instamojo listed two different yearly figures for this plan, so we haven’t picked one. To be plain about it: per order, Growth costs less than Indi Andaz, and Lite costs a little more. If you’re weighing Growth, set its yearly fee against what you’d pay on each order at your own volume. The bigger question is which orders each fee applies to, which is why the COD point above matters.

The limits, plainly:

  • Counter stock and online stock are kept separate. A sale at the counter doesn’t change the online quantity, so update your listing when something sells out.
  • 5% is still a cost. In a very busy month, a lower percentage with a fixed yearly price can cost less.
  • The store is template-based. There’s no open theme editor.

How should you weigh the costs?

Don’t put headline percentages side by side and stop there. Ask each platform four questions:

  1. What do I owe in a month with no online orders?
  2. Is the fee taken on every order, or only on ones that reach the customer?
  3. Is payment processing inside the fee or extra? Our guide to payment gateway charges in India explains what to look for.
  4. Is shipping inside the fee or extra?

Sellers who want a storefront without building one can read about an online store without a website.

Then run your own quiet, normal and festive months through the example in our ecommerce platform commission vs monthly fee article. For the full list of costs behind a web store, see our ecommerce website cost guide.

When you’re ready, you can open your shop on Indi Andaz and try it next to your counter.

FAQ

Is Instamojo good for physical products?

Yes. It has a store with cash on delivery and shipping integrations, and it suits shops without a counter. If you also need GST bills for walk-ins, consider platforms that include counter billing.

What is Instamojo’s transaction fee on its store?

As of 6 Oct 2026, before GST, its pricing page lists 5% + ₹3 per successful transaction on the Lite and Starter store options and 2% + ₹3 on Growth. GST is added on top.

Can I sell digital products on Indi Andaz?

No. Indi Andaz is only for goods you ship. For ebooks, courses or downloads, Instamojo or Dukaan are better choices.

No monthly fee, 5% only on delivered online orders, payment processing included. GST applies on the fee.

That’s up to you. But when a customer pays outside the store, you’re back to checking your bank app by hand. Sending customers to your store keeps the order and its payment together.
